I hope that you enjoyed International Cochlear Implant Day, and that you used the opportunity to tell people about cochlear implants.
We are continuing to live through difficult times. It’s now a year since Russia invaded Ukraine. We have people reading this newsletter from both Russia and Ukraine, so our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. I know that various organisations are sending supplies to Ukraine, particularly through the border with Poland. We also think of our friends in other countries neighbouring Russia and Ukraine, who are also concerned.
Many thanks to those who have sent us articles – it’s always good to hear what is happening in our member countries. Also thanks to the cochlear implant companies for keeping us up to date.
Please feel free to forward this Newsletter to Members of Parliament, friends, colleagues and members of your own organisations. We are keen to increase the number of people who can read about the benefits of cochlear implantation. Let’s get the message across, particularly as we develop our work, about which you can read in this newsletter.
The next edition of the EURO-CIU Newsletter will be due in June, so please let me have your articles (maximum 500 words per article please) and jpg photos by Monday 5 June 2023. Just e-mail them to me at newsletter@eurociu.eu
With every good wish – and let’s hopefully enjoy some Spring weather!
