EURO-CIU is a non-governmental, non-profit association, established in Luxembourg in 1995. The association brings together national member CI user associations from across Europe. Altogether EURO-CIU represents the users of around 500,000 cochlear implants across Europe, approximately 60% of whom are adults and 40% children. Each year, around 25,000 European citizens receive cochlear implants. Globally, around one million cochlear implants are in use.
We aim to support cochlear implant candidates and users of all ages, raise awareness, encourage research and ensure that the world is accessible to CI users.
